Hi gang,
I waited a few days to post this just to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
--pinches herself--Ouch. Nope, not dreaming.
With humongous happiness in my heart I will come out and say it.
I am a RITA-award nominated author. Woot woot!!! This is crazy exciting.
LOCK AND LOAD is going to the finals right beside J.D. Robb! Holy cow, I might explode with joy!
Thank you to the judges at RWA who read my book and felt it worthy to go to the next level.
Thank you dear family and friends who support and encourage me everyday.
Thank you God for this unbelievably beautiful gift.
I'm going to New York, baby. Oh my gosh! --pinches herself again--Ouch.
Big hugs to you all.
Have a wonderful Easter.

Book Signing by NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, Kimberley Troutte
Like Santa Barbara author Sue Grafton, local author Kimberley
Troutte wrote “what she knew” and set God Whisperer in a fictional town that
should feel familiar to Santa Ynez Valley residents.
Solberg is a Danish community
nestled in the hills above Santa Bonita California. Known for its aebleskivers,
wineries, and quirky, loveable residents, it is suspiciously similar to the
town Troutte loves to call home.
God Whisperer is an Inspirational Suspense about a mother and
her young son who are hiding for their lives in Solberg when an ear surgery
allows the boy to hear God.
The book came from being in a scary place when a mother
realizes she is not good enough, strong enough, or smart enough to face the
challenges ahead for her child.
Troutte credits her
son, Logan Hernandez, as her inspiration.
Logan was born with one incomplete,
deaf ear. The surgeons at UCLA created an eardrum
and canal for him out of his own tissue when he was six years old. For the
first time since birth, he could hear sounds with both ears. The miracle of it
all fired up Troutte’s imagination and her desire to give back.
Logan is now fourteen and competes in mud runs like the local American
Hot Shot mud run where he won first place in his group.
To
help others going through similar trials, Kimberley Troutte is donating 10% of
her author royalties to the American Society for Deaf Children.
She
will also be signing her Romantic Suspense SEAL EXtreme Team series books.
